Journey to North Carolina

Our SERVPRO team did not come across any trouble with the weather on their journey to North Carolina until their arrival to the cities affected by Hurricane Mathew. Due to the flood water our crew was obligated to reroute their destination multiple times. The roads delayed the travel time for each job; a fifteen minute destination turned into a two hour trip. Most importantly our team was safe throughout the trip and enjoyed their time providing restoration services.

Tips to Survive the Dark During a Storm

Gum Lighter

If you do not have a way to light candles because there is no form of electricity or a lighter available, you can create a small fire with gum wrapper and a battery. Use the foil wrapper and a AA battery to create a flame. Tear the wrapper and let the foil touch the positive and negative battery terminals so the wrapper can catch fire.
