We were very fortunate enough to be in the position to give back to the local Trumbull County youth. We partnered with Toys for Tots in providing 30 kids with a few extra things to open on Christmas!
We enjoy participating in this donation each holiday season and it is certainly something we go above and beyond for; we plan to be a staple donor in Trumbull County for a very long time.

Providing a clean and safe learning environment for our local students is something we felt we should play our part in.
SERVPRO of East Mahoning County ran a social media contest for local teachers in hopes of winning buckets filled with cleaning supplies for their classroom.
In order to limit the spread of Covid-19, the regular wiping and disinfecting of high germ areas like classrooms is extremely important. We wanted to make it that much easier for teachers to keep their students and themselves safe in Mahoning County.

We have been performing the commercial deep cleaning and disinfection for Trivium regularly over the past several months, in hopes to control and limit the spread of the Covid-19 virus within their factory and offices. On Saturday, December 7, 2019, Akron Children's Hospital held their annual Breakfast with Santa at The Maronite Center in Youngstown.
The event was well attended. Over 400 people, young and old, enjoyed a musical parade of local mascots, Disney characters and a visit from Santa. The room was filled with the Christmas spirit as the attendees enjoyed posing for photos, a goody gift bag and excellent food.
As a 'Corporate Champion' Sponsor, SERVPRO employees and their children attended the event and enjoyed 2 hours of chaotic fun!

On December 14 the United Way held its annual Holiday Basketball Classic. The tournament features basketball players from the Northeast Ohio region and gives them the opportunity to play for a great cause.
All proceeds from the event benefits the United Way's educational programming and supports kids right here in the Valley!

On October 2, 2019 SERVPRO attended the Mahoning Valley's Safety Council Meeting as the only keynote sponsor.
Owner and Master Restorer, Andrew Dobson had the opportunity to speak to attendees from a variety of business backgrounds. They learned about the SERVPRO brand, the importance of fire safety, and the tools and techniques we provide to improve and mitigate fire disasters, such as, Emergency Ready Profiles.

On September 11, 2019, SERVPRO of East Mahoning County hosted its Continuing Education Course for insurance agents and adjusters in East Mahoning County. The first seminar covered "Mitigation Awareness and Response" and the second course discussed "Cleaning and Restoring Smoke Damaged Contents". We had the opportunity to educate, entertain, and engage with over 40 agents from the Mahoning Valley.
Pictured above, is an assortment of the cookies provided at the event. During the break time we hosted brief games that gave each participant a chance at winning a raffle basket. Our winners received one basket of pasta themed items and another that was assembled to a fruit theme.

In August 2019, our SERVPRO team was the official water sponsor for the 10th Annual Panerathon in Youngstown, OH. All proceeds and efforts went towards the benefit of The Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Cancer Center.
The cause and the cure are always center stage for this event. The corporate community does a wonderful job supporting Covelli Enterprises and their vision to provide the finest care center in the country. We are honored to be included in this campaign each year.

The streets were lined with children who anticipated lots of candy and other goodies, as well as, getting a glimpse of fire and safety vehicles.

Youngstown State University broke a world record for the most people dressed up as penguins in one place. The previous record of 624 was set in 2015. Youngstown State University students, Youngstown State Alumni Engagement and Youngstown residents came together to set a record of 972 people and will be featured in Guinness World Records.
