Most Common Valentine's Day Fire Hazards to Avoid
- Leaving a candle unattended
It is imperative to have someone in the room where a candle is being used to prevent any fire damages.
- Placing them next to inflammable objects
Placing a candle in a safe atmosphere is important. Try to keep them on a flat surface away from any drapes or other inflammable objects.
- Having an non-functioning fire alarm
A fire alarm should be functioning at all times throughout the year. Provide a service and inspection annually, to ensure your fire alarm is functioning properly.
- Dismissing candle holders
Some individuals feel a candle holder is unnecessary, but this could lead to a dangerous situation. The candle holder will protect the candle from falling and keeping wax from unwanted areas.
