Emergency Preparedness Kit

Your Youngstown commercial building or home should be prepared for various types of emergencies by having an emergency preparedness kit that can be easily found and carried in the event of an evacuation or being stuck in the building. These kits can be bought or made and should be in homes and commercial buildings.  In the event of an emergency, rescuers may take a few hours or a few days to get to your location. Depending on where you live your kit should have different items as well as the ones listed.

Your kit should include these items:

Water one gallon of water per day (at least 3)

Food approximately three days worth

Battery-powered radio and extra batteries

Flashlight with extra batteries

First aid kit

Whistle

Moist towelettes

Manual can opener

Maps

Power banks or solar chargers

Supplies for pets

Plus addition location related items based off of where you are located
