How forest fires are caused
A forest fire is an uncontrolled fire occurring in nature. Most forest fires are man made. A heat source combines with dry leaves and grass which release volatile gases and combines with oxygen in the air and starts the burn which creates more heat and gas and the fire spreads. The steeper the terrain the faster the fire burns because of the hot air rising into the other trees.
Affects of Wildfires
Forest fires cause damage to houses, offices, vegetation, and anything in its way. Cities have to spend millions on fighting them with aircraft, personnel, chemicals, and logistics. These fires wipe away almost all organic value of soil. However, most plants easily grow back and have good recovery. Some plants even thrive after a wildfire.
