Essential Fire Safety Instructions

9/9/2016 (Permalink)

Most of us are informed of what actions to apply immediately during a fire, but it is important to enlighten children of what to do. When a fire occurs it is important to stay low at all times until you are out of the endangered premises. Staying low on the ground will keep you from inhaling too much smoke. Your first priority should be evacuating the structure immediately and making sure everyone else has an understanding of the main goal. Sometimes it is impossible to leave the endangered area, but it is essential to understand to never hide under a bed or in a closet. If you have a phone on hand you can call 911 and let them know you are trapped. If any apparel that you are wearing catches on fire, do not panic! Just immediately stop, drop, and roll on the ground with your hands covering your face.
