SERVPRO® Partners with First Responders to Provide Safer Workspaces

As this unprecedented time remains among us, the battle we fight continues to provide silver linings. One of the areas that never seems to lose its place is the appreciation we show for the first responder line of work. In recent memory, the opportunities to show appreciation for fire, police, EMS & others has grown as each life altering event takes place.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, SERVPRO® of East Mahoning County has taken the time to schedule complimentary sanitization cleanings of first responder vehicles and work/life spaces. With the in an out nature of their work and the exposure to so many people and places each day, there was a strong unmet need to provide this service.
In sanitizing these spaces, first responders are free to move about the business of caring for others with less concern and fear of contracting a virus or unwanted bacteria. Flat surfaces, common touch points and commonly used areas are targeted for sanitization and disinfecting with a CDC registered, hospital grade chemical. Once the chemical is applied and the dwell time is met, the kill claims of these chemicals are quite high.
Keep in mind that chemicals being used to combat the Coronavirus have no record of proven success against this exact strain of virus. The restoration industry is relying on chemicals with a proven track record against similar (previous) viruses such as H1N1, SARS and EBOLA.
So, as we reach out to Fire, Police & EMS workers, keeping them healthy and safe is our priority. We continue to partner with these organizations everyday as we provide board-up and reconstruction services for the victims of fire. Building a strong working relationship between first responders and restoration only benefits those in need of these services.
SERVPRO® of East Mahoning County is committed to the communities we serve. This commitment includes a strong relationship with community services such as fire, police & EMS.
