Working with Adjusters & Agents of Canfield, OH
3/6/2020 (Permalink)
When any type of disaster takes place, whether it be in a home or commercial property there are three moving parts that work together to fully restore the damage. The property owner first discovers the damage and calls their insurance agent, the agent will then call SERVPRO® of East Mahoning County to come out and get ready to start the restoration process. Before that can happen, the agent and the restoration company will meet with the adjuster. The adjuster will assess the damage and make the final decision on the total ‘scope’ of work that is necessary to be done by SERVPRO® and eventually paid for by the insurance claim.
We understand insurance agents have a responsibility to keep claims costs a low as possible while still being sure adequate service is provided to fully restore any damage that took place. Here at SERVPRO® of East Mahoning County we strive to do these key things in making this process go as smooth as possible:
Restoring the property is our priority. We respond at any time and to any call letting the property owner feel as at ease as possible in this time. We then make sure any loss is pretested to ensure it indeed can be restored and not need to be replaced. If possible, it always less expensive to restore rather than replace items.
We then create an itemized loss list; clearly stating what inventory is lost, what needs replaced, and what can be restored. This list will be in Excel format with detailed reports and pictures.
We then begin the restoration process using cutting edge technology, highly trained and experienced professionals who obtain the latest IICRC certifications in fire and water restoration. We see this process all the way through making sure the needs of the property owner, insurance agent, and adjuster are met fully.
