SERVPRO Assures Quality Construction

At SERVPRO, we guarantee the quality of our work and ensure the best possible final product in a multitude of different ways.
One such method is by letting the various rebuilding materials acclimate for the necessary amount of time.
When a material acclimates, the item's physical temperature changes to match that of the room that it is being installed in.
This is important for several reasons. Not only is the material much easier to work with once it has properly acclimated, but it helps to eliminate the possibility of problems arising in the final product.
Naturally, materials will expand and contract as their temperature changes. A variety of issues can potentially occur if a material is installed before this acclimation process is completed. Gaps can form between separate sheets of drywall, floor boards can buckle, or paneling can get a rippling effect.
These problems not only cause the final product to lose its aesthetically pleasing look, but the material itself must be replaced. Different materials need to acclimate for differing amounts of time as well. All materials must acclimate for a minimum of twenty-four hours; however, some take much longer.
Two examples of such materials are hardwood plank flooring (three to four days) and snap-lock laminate flooring (minimum of forty-eight hours).
Our construction project managers are always there to help with these types of questions, as well as any others, so feel free to ask!
